more stuff on Tana’s culture

As I am typing more, I am getting used to the French keyboard.

I just want to drop a quick note that last night after we left the puny cybercafe to go back to our place, we came to our bus stop and boy, it was pretty difficult to get into a mini bus because it was during rush hour (it was around 18:00).  Everyone was pratically fighting through to get into the back of the mini bus.  It was the only way to enter into and exit out of the bus.  So I had to be aggressive and Susie just followed me behind my back as she was clinging to my backpack.  We couldnt get into the buses until the 3rd bus arrived and with my towering frame shoving through the crowd, I was able to get on the moving bus while Suz had to trot and jump onto the bus.  Mission accomplished even though  Suz doesnt  want to go through this situation ever again during the rush hours.  So we have to try to avoid getting on the bus during the peak periods…

I guess this is one of those adventures that we will occasionally have to endure through…

Gabe - Suzie ? How far is the cafe to school and home? If it is close, why not use the bicycles so you guys dont have to fight to get on the mini school bus. Think postive! You will have rewarding experience in the end. : )

believe me, we’ve thought about cycling away but it is very dangerous. the cafe and school is about 1 hour away by walking. even walking can be dangerous as one lady’s foot got run over by a car last week near our home! the road isnt even as wide as ours. usually, the cyclists yield to the cars when the drivers are impatiently honking to get them out of the way.

thanks for the kind word though!
